O come, let us sing unto the Lord:
let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

Just One Hour Just One Hour

The night wind was blowing,
Gusting now and then.
He wandered, wakeful,
Among the sleeping men.

Clouds and darkness growing,
Rushing evening in.
Soul forlorn and woeful,
No one waits with Him.

"Wait with me, watch with me,
Just one hour.
I need you to watch with me,
Just one hour."

Prayers to God, His Father,
Do not this allow.
May this cup pass from me,
Or must I drink it now.

Sweat like blood is falling,
To the ground it spills,
In agony, He earnestly,
Surrenders up His will.

"Wait with me, watch with me,
Just one hour.
I need you to watch with me,
Just one hour."

Their spirits have been willing,
But curséd flesh is weak
How can they answer Him,
With heavy eyes asleep?

Hear the soldiers coming,
See torches in the mist,
With Judas there to lead them
And betray Him with a kiss.

"Wait with me, watch with me,
Just one hour.
I need you to watch with me,
Just one hour."

"There’s no one to wait with me,
Not one hour.
There’s no one to watch with me,
Not one hour."

Not one hour

with a kiss
